Go Overboard with Orderbird

Orderbird was founded in 2011 by Jakob Schreyer, Bastian Schmidtke and Patrick Brienen, with the aim of offering a POS solution which is not only affordable and intuitive, but adapts to the needs of the modern restaurant, bar and café business.

The system is designed to streamline the front of house order and sale process and also takes care of the back office functions and helps stock control, bringing advantages to those running small, but busy outlets. The flexibility of the system also allows it to grow with any business, whether it’s a first-time pop-up stand, or a well-established and expanding outlet.

The system also allows staff to send orders wirelessly to the kitchen and stay in sync with one another. The iPad POS system provides customised and detailed reports at any time and from anywhere via the my.orderbird data free of charge. Prices start from £599 plus a monthly license fee of £49 or a yearly license fee of £490. There is also a free version available on the App Store, which has had over 26,000 downloads.
