Tork offers top tips for table-top cleanliness

Building on the success of the free cleaning and hygiene training packs launched last year under the Tork brand, SCA Hygiene Products has now introduced a new pack to help caterers conform to the impending legislation concerning allergens.

The new pack entitled ‘Preparing a Table for a Customer with a Food Allergy or Food Intolerance’ gives practical, step-by-step advice and shows how the right cleaning products can help catering staff prepare a table for allergic guests safely and efficiently.

Jamie Wright, marketing, communications co-ordinator at SCA Hygiene UK, says: “The introduction of the allergen legislation will change the way catering staff clean and re-lay tables for customers, necessitating an even more thorough and meticulous regime. Our new training pack describes in detail why this should be done, and how.

“It joins the two existing training packs, ‘Hand Hygiene’ and ‘Food Contact Surface Cleaning’, which can already be downloaded from the Tork website and have proved very popular.”

To help the trainers Tork have also produced short videos for all the packs, highlighting the key points in each of the training modules. These are available for free download in a YouTube format.
